I was so happy to read how Bryce overcame this disease and is doing so good right now...thank God! Go Bryce!

My daughter Melissa was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia/Lymphoma in April of 2004. What made me write to you is that Melissa also had the swollen eyelid, just like Bryce, but for a whole year before she was diagnosed. The eye doctor said they couldn't do anything, it was probably just a cyst and that it would drain by itself, they didn't want to perform any surgery. They only had us put warm compresses on it. The bump on her eye would swell and then go down and back up again,,,it discharged a bit once.

I've read much on the internet, and I'm only guessing, I could be wrong, but what if Melissa had an Indolent Lymphoma for a year because of her eye? In Feb of 2004, she developed a swollen lymph node on the side of her neck, which was the Lymphoma, then in April diagnosed with ALL/Lymphoma, so maybe the lymphoma progressed to her marrow.

I wanted to also contact UCLA eye center, i'm not sure what to do next...i'm so worried. I did ask Melissa's doctor if the eye might have had anything to do with the cancer and she really doubted it.

I just want to clear up any relation of her eye to the cancer. I would love to meet or talk to Bryce's parents, please, one hour is all I ask.

Thank you and I hope to hear from you . Please, I hope you can help us.

btw, Melissa has responded very well to treatment so far and is in remission.

I appreciate your taking the time to read this...thank you!!

Hi Bryce,

My name is Janene and my son (Jeremy) is also a cancer survivor. He was diagnosed at age 8 with Non-Hodgekins Lymphonma and is now a healthy 12 year old boy. I read your story and can relate to the fight you went through, because Jeremy also went through the same fight and he has won the battle. He is in remission and is back the the active boy he was before his treatment started. He went back to playing Little League Baseball and even made his All-Star Babe Ruth Team. I just wanted to let you know that you and Jeremy are precious gifts that God has blessed in our families. He has held you in his arms and has guided your way to recovery. I wish you a healthy and great life and may God watch over you and guide you in a life of great accomplishments. You will be in our prayers. God Bless.

Sincerely,

Janene Luna Mother of a Cancer Survivor

Dear Bryce,
You're story has been very inspirational. Our "little" friend was recently diagnosed w/ NHL cancer and we're so very sad. When I read your story I started feeling more positive and I hope to help the family with a more positive outlook. Continue doing such a great job with your fight and remember your helping people all around the world fight their battle!
You're awesome!!!
